Four things change the price. Everything else is packaging.
Underneath every SEO invoice there are only a handful of variables that genuinely change what the work costs to deliver. Understanding them makes any proposal, from anybody, readable in about two minutes.
How many keywords are being actively targeted. How many placements are being built each month. How many domains are in scope. And whether content is being written and published or left to you.
If a proposal moves the price without moving one of those, the extra money is buying something other than search work. That is not automatically dishonest, and you should know it is what you are buying.
Keyword count
Five terms is a single-service shop in one metro. A hundred is a multi-location operator or an integrator bidding across regions. Most locksmiths sit between twenty and forty.
Placement volume
Guest posts and Web 2.0 properties per month. This is the largest genuine cost in any program because each placement is real work on a real domain.
Domains in scope
One site or several. A shop with a separate automotive brand is two programs sharing an account manager, not one program.
Content included or not
Writing and publishing is a separate cost with its own economics, which is why it is priced separately here rather than folded into a headline figure.
The four levers, priced.
| PLAN | Basic | Silver | Golden | PlatinumBEST VALUE | Titanium |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $65 | $125 | $235 | $325 | $575 |
| One-time | $75 | $140 | $260 | $380 | $620 |
| Domains | 1 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 4 |
| Keywords | 5 | 10 | 20 | 40 | 100 |
| Guest posts (DA 20+) | 5 | 10 | 20 | 30 | 50 |
| Web 2.0s (DA 50+) | 5 | 10 | 20 | 30 | 50 |
| Amplification links | 1,500 | 3,000 | 5,000 | 10,000 | 20,000 |
| Keyword research | Standard | Standard | In-depth | In-depth | In-depth |
| Premium indexing | No | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| On-page technical audit | No | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Content gap analysis | No | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Competitor traffic spy | No | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Toxic link check with disavow | No | No | No | No | Yes |
| Turnaround | 8-10 days | 10-12 days | 12-14 days | 14-16 days | 16-18 days |
Read this table as four levers rather than five products. Moving right increases keyword coverage, placement volume, domains and turnaround time. Golden at $235 or Platinum at $325 suits most shops, and a one to three van operator covering a single metro genuinely does not need a hundred keywords.
Are you paying for work or for reporting?
This is the question that separates programs at every price point, and it is answerable in one question: what physically got produced last month, and can you open it?
| WHAT YOU ARE SHOWN | WHAT IT PROVES | ASK FOR |
|---|---|---|
| A live URL you can open | That the placement exists and is live today. | Nothing. This is the standard. |
| A screenshot of a placement | That something existed when the screenshot was taken. | The URL. |
| A count of links built | Nothing at all, on its own. | The list, with addresses. |
| A rankings dashboard | Positions, which move for many reasons. | What was produced that month. |
| A monthly strategy call | That somebody spent an hour talking to you. | What changed on the site as a result. |
| A traffic graph going up | That traffic went up. Not why. | Which pages, and which terms. |
Ask us the same question you would ask anybody else.
Every link in our reporting arrives as a live, clickable URL, and you own everything permanently. That is a claim, and the correct response to a claim is to check it.
Cost is only half of the question.
A $325 program is expensive for a shop doing twenty low-ticket jobs a month and trivially cheap for one that lands a single access control installation a year because of it.
The variable that decides which of those you are is your job mix, not your revenue. A shop working entirely at $120 a job needs a lot of additional volume to justify anything. A shop with commercial work in the mix needs very little.
That is what the calculator on this site is for, and it is deliberately built to recommend the smaller plan when the numbers say so. Put your own prices in rather than ours.
Under $40,000 modeled annual gain
Start on Golden at $235. Anything larger is buying coverage you cannot yet convert.
Between $40,000 and $200,000
Platinum at $325 is the usual answer, and it is where most shops with a mixed job book land.
Above $200,000 or multi-location
Titanium at $575, which is a genuinely different scope rather than the same scope with a bigger number.
A website
Quoted separately, from $400, one time, and only when the site is genuinely the constraint rather than a convenient thing to sell you.
Content writing
Priced separately from $26 a month because it has different economics. Folding it into a headline figure would hide what either part costs.
Advertising spend
Nothing here buys clicks. If you also run ads, that budget is yours and it sits outside this entirely.
Reputation management
Delivered by the parent agency and quoted on request. No figure is published on this site because none was verified for it.
On price.
What should a locksmith expect to pay for SEO?01
On this site, between $65 and $575 a month depending on scope, month to month, with the setup fee waived. Across the wider market you will see anything from $300 to $5,000 a month. The number matters less than what is behind it, which is why most of this guide is about how to tell those apart.
Why is there such a wide range in the market?02
Because the label covers completely different amounts of work. Some of that spread is genuine scope. Some of it is agencies charging for strategy calls, dashboards and account management rather than for anything that changes what a search engine sees. The way to tell is to ask what physically gets produced each month.
Is cheap SEO worse?03
It is smaller, which is not the same thing. A $65 plan does less work than a $575 plan and does it on the same terms, with the same reporting and the same ownership. What makes a program bad is not a low price, it is work you cannot inspect, and that occurs at every price point.
What actually moves the number?04
Keyword count, placement volume, how many domains are in scope, and whether content is included. Those are the four levers on this site, and every tier is a different setting of them. Nothing else on the invoice should be moving the price.
How do I know I am not overpaying?05
Divide the monthly fee by the number of things that physically got produced and are inspectable. If the answer is uncomfortable, ask what the rest paid for. An agency that cannot answer that clearly is charging you for its own overhead.
